Measurement and alarm solutions for industry
Control and automation malfunctions reported in detail to TD
Failure of a critical system, PLC, process computer or production line can have major consequences for safety, the environment and production. Industrial processes are often chain-linked: if one link fails, processes before and after it will also come to a standstill (after a certain amount of time and depending on buffers). This leads to loss of production, waiting employees, logistical delays (loading/unloading), late deliveries and possible additional machine damage. Utilities such as steam may also fail, material shortages may shut down the line, and environmental problems may arise, such as the discharge of wastewater outside the norm, resulting in fines.
Therefore, report malfunctions and breakdowns immediately to the on-duty repair engineer(s), even outside working hours. Rapid intervention limits downtime, prevents escalation and ensures continuity, safety and compliance with environmental requirements.
Alert functions we offer

NEW: integration of Siemens PLC S7-1200 and S7-1500 series (pilot phase)
Siemens PLCs are widely used to control a variety of industrial processes. In the event of a malfunction in the process or in the process control, it is important that the technical department is notified in good time. By connecting Siemens PLCs via the network to an Octalarm Touch-Pro with Octalarm Link licence, malfunction information about the nature and cause can be included directly from the PLC in the alarm message. This makes it easier to interpret the malfunction and determine its urgency more easily and accurately.

Do you have a pilot project for our new connection?
Test the integration of Siemens PLC S7-1200 and S7-1500 series with Touch Pro (with Link licence)
Technology is only valuable when it is safe, stable and user-friendly. That is why we like to test our innovations in practice—preferably together with (future) end customers and installers. And so we are looking for pilot projects for our new link between Siemens PLCs and Touch Pro (with Octalarm Link licence).
The PLC software module (JSON protocol) for Siemens PLCs was developed in TIA Portal V18, but can be converted to V17 and V16 if desired.
Requirements for participation
- Both an end customer and an installer are involved in the project.
- A PLC programmer is available. (If desired, we can put you in touch with an external party who is familiar with this link.)
- A test environment is preferred. If you are testing in a production environment, we strongly recommend running a redundant PLC.
Points to note during testing
- Programming the connection between the Siemens PLC and the alarm device (manual available).
- Installation and configuration of the alarm (manual available).
- Testing of the alarm handling: Siemens PLC → alarm dialler.
- Biweekly feedback session on:
- progress of the pilot;
- findings and areas for improvement.
Period
- Minimum test duration: 1 month.
- Desired test duration: 2 months.
Yes, I would like to test it!
Do you have a project that is suitable for this pilot? Please contact our sales department. We are available Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (We have lunch together from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. We are closed on national holidays.)
Always safe and compliant: reliable alarm monitoring for fuel tank installations
- Complies with the legal requirement for unmanned petrol stations to have an alarm system.
- Alerts you if the temperature in the pumps gets too high.
- Continues to work during power failures thanks to a built-in emergency battery (standalone).
- Receive notifications and view the live alarm status via the Adésys Alarm App.
