"A modern technology with long-term support that is user friendly, widely deployable and secure."
Product: SVM-X56 4G modem
Sector: Watermanagement
Remote monitoring and managing groundwater purification
The SVM-X56, specifically developed to provide access to Priva installations, is now being used by many companies, such as SUEZ RR IWS Remediation B.V. They use the SVM-X56 in various ways, including for monitoring and managing a groundwater purification plant in the UK.
A user friendly solution for phasing out CSD
Willem Mauritz, Site Supervisor at Suez: "We had a clear challenge; in Britain the network no longer supports the M2M/CSD solution. In many countries, including the Netherlands, CSD will no longer be supported as of the end of 2017. We therefore had a need for a modern technology with long-term support that is user friendly, widely deployable and secure."
Cost savings
Adésys foresaw the need for a solution for phasing out this technology and developed a smart and reliable solution that does not entail high costs for users.
Willem Mauritz explains what this meant for this project: "We found a solution in Adésys' SVM-X56. This modem not only solves the phasing out of CSD technology, it also makes the costly and obsolete analogue lines superfluous. In addition, there no longer is a need to deploy a dedicated computer with a call-in capability. Finally, it turns out that the costs of an M2M/CSD connection are the same as the costs of this 3G connection. This makes this the only logical choice for us."
Easy installation
Adésys developed specialised software for the SVM-X56 after which the modem was intensively tested in various user situations. Customisation this way provides a highly reliable plug & play communications solution.
